The project week will be from the 22nd to the 28th of November 2009 and is hosted by the Karlshochschule International University formerly Merkur International University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe.

The subject on which we will be working during the week is:

Increasing MICE Tourism by using ART

Using regional distinctions to increase business travel: how a destination’s ART sources can specifically help the exhibition and convention sector.

Some history:

ACEEPT (Association of European Training Centers in Tourism) is a cooperation between different Bachelor Tourism Schools in Europe. The association was founded by the IUT de Quimper in France in 1998.

ACEEPT tries to achieve the following Goals:

1.    To narrow the gap between Tourism students and Tourism                     professionals

2.    To add value to existing training programs of each partner

3.    To promote cross-cultural contact

Every year,

one of the participating members organizes a project week, where you have the chance to get together with tourism students from different European nations. During the week you will work in mixed groups on the subject mentioned above. You will work under the guidance of lecturers and professionals.

Please don’t get the impression that this congress is just hard work! There will definitely be plenty of time to have some fun together during various activities in the afternoons and evenings!
