The Karlshochschule International University is an international, market- and practice-oriented institute. With its state-approved and accredited program (by FIBAA the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) the students earn their “Bachelor of Arts”, a universally recognised university degree, in only six semesters.

In the summer semester 2009 360 students are being taught by 16 full-time professors, 3 visiting professors and about 30 lecturers and lectors for specific subjects and six foreign languages.

The Karlshochschule International University qualifies young people for managing and leading positions in the economy and society.

 

Karlshochschule International University offers seven different Bachelor degree courses,

  • International Business
  • Intercultural Management and Communication
  • International Marketing
  • International Tourism Management
  • Trade Fair, Congress and Event Management
  • Cultural Management
  • Energy Management

 

and one Master degree course

  • Master of Leadership.

 

 

Karlsruhe

 

Karlsruhe is situated in the south west of Germany at the river Rhine and near the French border. Karlsruhe has about 278,300 residents.

Karlsruhe’s’ technological research institutes and universities have helped the city to become a leading technology region in Germany.

Karlsruhe is Baden’s cultural capital and therefore you will find a lot of museums and theatres here.

 

60 % of Karlsruhe’s surface is covered by greenery. More than 800 hectares are covered by public parks, for example the zoological garden, the palace garden and the botanical gardens.

 

Karlsruhe is home to the German administration of justice. It is home to the ‘Bundesgerichtshof’, the Federal Supreme Court and also the ‘Bundesverfassungsgericht’, the Federal Constitutional Court.

 

The city has a fascinating layout, it is shaped like a fan, with the palace of the former Margrave as the city centre. Nearby you can find another interesting building,  the pyramid, the landmark of the city, which is situated at the Market Square.

 

 

 

Baden-Württemberg

 

With it’s 35,752 km², Baden-Württemberg is Germany’s third largest federal state. It is located in the Southwest of Germany and has about 10.7 million inhabitants.

Baden-Württemberg is one of Europe’s leading technology regions with a high exportation volume. The region is characterized by innovation, development of future technologies and the tradition of inventive creativity.

 

Baden-Württemberg is Germany’s second most important tourist destination. With around 40 million overnight stays, it ranks second after Bavaria.

The diversified landscape, history and culture attract an increasing number of tourists from all over the world.

Baden-Württemberg offers a large variety of art, culture, festivities and leisure facilities. Good food and excellent wines complete the state’s attractiveness.

Among the most popular destinations are the Black Forest and the Lake of Constance, one of the world’s biggest freshwater lakes.

The Black Forest is loved by both summer and winter tourists. It is also home to the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, the Feldberg, which measures 1,164 metres.

 

Freiburg, Stuttgart, Mannheim, Heidelberg and Karlsruhe are economically important and centrally situated cities.
